We Believe

  1. The Scriptures, both the Old and New Testament, to be the verbally inspired Word of God, infallible, without error in the original writings, and the final authority for all Christian faith and life. 2 Tim 3:15-17; 2 Pet 1:20-21.

  2. In one God, Creator of all things; eternally existing in three persons, Father, Son and Holy Spirit. All having precisely the same nature, attributes and perfections; and all worthy of the same worship, confidence, and obedience. Isa 48:16-17; 2 Cor 13:14

  3. That Jesus Christ the eternal Son of God, is true God and true man, having been conceived of the Holy Spirit, and born of the virgin Mary, that He died on the cross, the sacrifice for our sins thereby making our justification sure, that He arose bodily from the dead, ascended into heaven, and is now exalted at the right hand of God where He acts as our High Priest, Intercessor and Advocate. John 1:1-2, 14; Rom 3:24-25.

  4. That the ministry of the Holy Spirit is to testify of the Lord Jesus Christ, glorify the Father, convict men, regenerate the believing sinner, indwell, guide, instruct, empower and gift the believer for Godly living and service. John 16:7-14; Rom 8:9-16.

  5. That Adam was created in the image of God, but through an act of willful disobedience subjected the human race to a sinful nature, which renders man helpless, separated from God and beyond reconciliation or hope apart from the divine, direct, personal intervention of God by His grace. Gen 1:26-27; Rom 5:12-21; Eph 2:1-7.

  6. That salvation is a gift of God, accomplished solely by the shed blood of Jesus Christ, brought to man by grace through personal faith, and that the redeemed, once saved, are kept by God’s power and are thus secure in Christ forever. Eph 1:3-7; Eph 2:8-10.

  7. That all who are united with Christ are baptized by the Holy Spirit, into and become members of the Church, which is the Body of Christ over which He is the head. 1 Cor 12:13; Eph 1:22-23.

  8. That we are called with a holy calling to live in such a manner that our lives will glorify our Lord Jesus Christ, edify and serve our fellow believers, and proclaim the gospel of Christ to unbelieving mankind. Col 3:12-17; 2 Tim 1:9.

  9. In the “blessed hope”, the personal, imminent return of Jesus Christ to earth for His redeemed ones. 1 Thes 4:16-18; Rev 19:11-16.

  10. In the bodily resurrection of all men; of the believer to everlasting blessedness and joy with the Lord; and of unbelievers to the final judgment and everlasting punishment separated from the Lord. 1 Cor 15:51-57; Rev 20:5-6, 11-15.
